  1. About These Screensavers
  2. ========================

  4. There are eight screensavers located in your CD's \ppc\scrnsvrs 
  5. subdirectory:
  6.  
  7. WRECK.SCR - Wrecking ball progressively demolishes the image on your 
  8. screen.
  9.  
  10. SAW.SCR - The image is sawn to pieces before your eyes
  11.  
  12. PUSH.SCR - A helpful assistant pushes your screen image away piece by 
  13. piece.
  14.  
  15. POPPERS.SCR - Colorful disks unexpectedly pop up and obscure the image.
  16.  
  17. FAN.SCR - A folding fan unfolds and refolds, randomly displaying any 
  18. bitmap (*.bmp) graphic available in your \windows subdirectory.  We've 
  19. included a number of .bmp files with this screensaver.
  20.  
  21. DRAW.SCR - Gradually paints a variety of images on your screen.  Uses 
  22. any Windows Metafile (*.wmf), and we've provided several.
  23.  
  24. SHARK.SCR - Sharks and minnows swim across your screen.
  25.  
  26. IC.SCR - Custom screensaver from the revolutionary new online service, 
  27. Interchange.

  29. Also, in your CD's mm\mmscr subdirectory is the Ziff Animation screen-
  30. saver, ZIFFSCRN.SCR.  This screensaver will play any Microsoft Video 
  31. (*.avi) file, and we've included four.

  35. HOW TO INSTALL
  36. ==============

  38. Using File Manager or the DOS "COPY" command, copy the screensaver files
  39. d:\ppc\scrnsvrs\*.scr (where d: is your CD-ROM drive) to your 
  40. c:\windows subdirectory (where c: is the hard drive where your Windows 
  41. subdirectory is located).

  43. To change from your current screensaver to Interchange, you can either 
  44. use the Chooser, Ziffnet Custom utility (in the Personal PC section of 
  45. this CD), or follow these simple steps:

  47. In Windows, select the Control Panel icon (usually in the Main program 
  48. group), then the Desktop icon.  
  49.  
  50. Scroll through the list of screensavers shown to find the one you'd like
  51. to see.
  52.  
  53. Press the "Setup" button for options on sound and password protection.
  54.  
  55. Press "Test" just to make sure everything's running OK -- you'll see 
  56. the very beginning of the screensaver's images.
